Description

Holland House is a late 18th-century house in Boston, with minor 20th-century alterations. Originally used as a boarding school in the 19th century, it is now a dental surgery. The house is constructed of red brick with stucco dressings; the sides and rear are rendered, and the roof is slate-covered with external gable stacks.

The three-storey, five-bay front is accompanied by a lower two-storey wing to the rear. A stucco band marks the first floor, and a dentilled wooden eaves cornice runs along the top. The main entrance features recessed double-panelled doors beneath a semicircular fanlight, set within a semicircular stucco arch, flanked by single tripartite sash windows. A coach entry is located to the left, featuring a segmental stucco arch with a keystone. The first floor has five glazing bar sashes, and the second floor has five smaller, similar windows. All windows are topped with cambered stucco arches and keystones. A 20th-century single-storey lean-to extension is on the right. The rear wing includes three semicircular-headed windows dating from the 20th century.

The interior has not been inspected.
