Description

The Chemist is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a colourwashed finish, topped with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features three bays, with a central section that projects forward and is flanked by angle pilasters. The entrance consists of a central glazed door set within a pilastered surround, topped with a pediment supported by corbels. The shop has large plate glass windows, and above these are sash windows with glazing bars and sills. There are chimney stacks at both ends of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
