Description
Short Acre is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is built of brick and has been whitewashed, topped with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a three-bay section on the right side with a central entrance. The entrance includes a four-panel door with a patterned overlight, framed by a pilastered doorcase that has a hood supported by consoles and decorative paterae in the frieze. The windows are 30-pane sashes with shutters, and the first floor has unequal sashes with glazing bars. The left section of the house has a half-glazed door with an overlight and casement windows. There is a low extension on the left side under a catslide roof, and the roof is hipped to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
