Description

This is a pair of houses located at 2 and 4 Bitteswell Road, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from chequered brick in Flemish bond and feature a Welsh slate roof with end stacks. The houses are two storeys high and designed as a single composition, presenting a symmetrical three-window range, although the centre window on the first floor is blank. The paired doorcases are supported by three pilasters and topped with a single entablature. The original design has been altered by the addition of a small window on the first floor, and the elevation is finished with a cogged brick eaves cornice. The windows include 20th-century casements and sashes.
