Description

Western House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof. The building stands two-and-a-half storeys tall and has a low-pitched hipped roof with boxed wooden eaves cornice and an end stack on the left side. The front facade has a regular arrangement of three windows, which are glazing bar sashes with gauged flat-arched heads. On the ground floor, there are canted bays with flat heads and glazing bar sashes, flanking a central entrance. The entrance includes a panelled door, a wreathed and radiating fanlight, and a triangular pediment supported by colonnettes, which is likely a later 20th-century addition.
