Description
Fox Hills Nursery Cottage consists of two cottages from the 17th century, with a later extension. The building is made of whitewashed granite and slate rubble stone, featuring brick coped gables and a thatched roof with two ridge stacks. It has one and a half storeys and includes casement windows: three two-light half dormers, one of which has top lights. On the ground floor, there is a two-light casement and a door in the later extension on the left, followed by a three-light casement, a one-light window, another three-light casement, a door with a porch, and a final three-light casement. The left end has a three-light casement with a two-light window above it, while the right end features a two-light casement on both floors. The rear has long outshuts, additional doors, casements, and an eyebrow dormer with one light and another with two lights. Inside, there is an inglenook and stop-chamfered beams with run-out stops. The cottage was formerly known as Woodhouse Fields.
