Description

Nos. 240 and 242 on Forest Road are cottages dating from the 17th or 18th century. They are constructed from whitewashed brick and rubble stone, topped with a Swithland slate roof featuring two ridge stacks. The buildings are 1½ storeys high and have 20th-century leaded light casements on the ground floor, including a mix of 3-light, 4-light windows, and a porch with a door. There are four 3-light dormers above. To the right end, there is a single-storey extension, which includes a 2-light dormer and remnants of timber framing at the rear.
