Description
Nos. 10 and 12 on Church Street are two cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a long straw thatch roof. The cottages are one storey high with an attic and originally followed a three-unit plan. A local red brick ridge stack is positioned to the right of the center. The front features two horizontal sliding sash dormer windows and two 19th-century casement windows. There is a modern porch and two panelled doors. Inside, the cottages have a sealed inglenook hearth and a moulded mantel beam added to the rear hearth, with the floor joists being plastered.
