Description

This is a 17th-century cottage located on Church Street, Histon. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a half-hipped long straw thatched roof. A distinctive original red brick ridge stack rises from the roof, featuring tall diagonal grouped shafts. The cottage was originally planned as a two-unit lobby-entry dwelling. It now has two casement dormer windows in the attic and two three-light casement windows on the ground floor. A modern pantile extension serves as the entrance to the right-hand side.
