Description

Holly Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse that features an 18th-century refronting of an earlier building. It is constructed of brick and has a Swithland slate roof, with gable end and axial stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a three-unit plan. The rubble plinth of the two principal units may relate to the earlier structure, while the third unit likely was added during the refronting, as it does not have this plinth. However, the dentilled eaves cornice runs continuously across the entire facade.

The central door is framed by an early 19th-century doorcase with a moulded architrave. The windows in the two principal units have flat-headed casements, while the right-hand unit features cambered heads to its windows and a blocked doorway. The left-hand gable end reveals visible timber framing, including corner posts, a middle rail, and arch braces, along with some rubble at the fire back, indicating the refronting that has taken place.
