Description
The Hollies is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a graded Swithland slate roof with brick gable stacks. The eaves have a dentilled brick course. The south front of the building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There is a central doorway with a plain surround and a six-panel door. On either side of the doorway, there are single three-light casements that are fitted with louvred shutters. Above the doorway, there is a two-light casement with louvred shutters, flanked by single three-light casements. All of these casements date from the 19th century and have gauged brick cambered arches, with shallow hoods supported on brackets. To the right of the main structure, there is an attached brick range that also has a graded Swithland slate roof and a large gable stack. This range is two storeys high and has two bays, featuring two two-light casements with cambered arches, and above them, there are two similar windows.
