Description

No. 2 Loughborough Road is a large house dating from around 1800, constructed of brick. The building stands three storeys high and features four bays. It has a pedimented doorcase adorned with a fluted frieze and pilasters. The 12-light sash windows are topped with cambered brick heads. On the left-hand side, there is a polygonal bay window added in the late 19th century, which has a slate roof and 8-light sash windows. To the left rear, there is a long brick wing that has a rubble back wall, a slate roof, doorways with cambered heads, and Bulls-eye openings on the ground floor. The rear of the house includes a small projecting full-height staircase gable.
