Description
No. 286 St. Margarets Banks is a house dating from the late 18th century, which has undergone significant renewal and some later alterations. The building is constructed of brick and features an artificial slate roof. It stands three storeys tall with a regular two-window arrangement on the front. The upper floors have twelve-pane sash windows set beneath flat brick arches. On the ground floor, there is an inserted canted bay window with 8:12:8-pane sashes. To the right of the bay, the doorway features a double concentric round-headed arch with an impost band, leading to a panelled door topped with a fanlight. The left side of the building is plain.
