Description
The Nag's Head is a public house located on Rochester High Street, dating from the 18th century. It features a combination of plastered brick and weatherboarding, topped by a renewed hipped roof covered in tiles. The building stands three storeys tall and has a front facade with a two-window range. The ground floor has late 20th-century windows with glazing bars, all set within pilaster surrounds from around 1900. The first and second floors each have two 16-pane horned sash windows in revealed frames, and the building has bracketed eaves. There is a return to Nag's Head Lane with a canted angle at the ground floor, which includes a segmental bowed sash window with nine panes on the first floor, and a horned sash window at the rear. Both sections of the building feature external end stacks.
