Description
This is an early 18th-century brick farmhouse with a slate roof, situated on Loughborough Road in Hooton. It has an L-shaped layout, spanning two storeys and four bays. The front doorway is positioned slightly off-centre and features a pedimented doorcase with a fluted frieze. The door itself is six-panelled, with lozenge tracery in the overlight. The ground-floor window openings have rounded brick heads, while the windows above are flat-headed. All windows are horizontal sliding sashes with fixed upper lights. A deep sill band runs along the front facade, and there is a moulded eaves cornice. Two ridge stacks are present. A 19th-century extension is attached to the right-hand side.
