Description

This is an 18th-century farmhouse, constructed of brick with a slate roof. It features a brick plinth, horizontal bands at the first floor and eaves, cogged eaves, coped and tumbled gables, and two gable stacks. All windows have segmental heads and stone sills. The main facade is two stories high and five bays wide, with a central, decorated doorcase featuring a modillioned triangular pediment on consoles, a triple-octagon over the light, and a six-panel door. It is flanked by two glazing bar sashes, and above them are four further glazing bar sashes.

An 18th-century extension to the left is brick-built with a slate roof and is two stories high, with a single bay. A 19th-century lean-to timber conservatory is situated at the front of this extension. To the left of this are two 19th-century two-story, single-bay extensions, also brick-built with slate roofs, brick coped gables, cogged eaves, and a single gable stack. To the right of the main house, a stable door has a segmental head. Above this are two three-light casements and one three-light Yorkshire sash in the left gable.

The rear elevation includes a round-headed doorway with Gothic tracery fanlight, a 19th-century ten-panel door with roundels, and flanking single Yorkshire sashes with segmental heads. Above the doorway is a central round-headed glazing bar sash with Gothic tracery. The rear elevation also features irregular 19th and 20th-century window openings.

A brick boundary wall with stone coping, ramping to the left and a gable in the wall containing an unusual 19th-century six-panel door, extends for approximately 30 meters.
