Description

This is a late 18th-century house, with a 19th-century third floor and further additions from the same period. It is constructed of brick, featuring bands to the first and second floors, dentillated eaves, and pantiled roofs. The house has a single gable and two ridge stacks. It is two and a half storeys high, with six irregular bays arranged in a 'L' shape.

The main west-facing garden front has a gabled, single-bay projecting wing to the right, with a 19th-century lean-to extension in the re-entrant angle. This extension contains a 20th-century panelled door with a shaped stone lintel. To the right of the door is a single canted brick bay window with a parapet and three glazing bar sashes. Above this window is a tripartite glazing bar sash, and in the gable above, a single glazing bar sash. To the left of the main front is a canted brick bay window with a parapet and three glazing bar sashes, flanked to the left by two segmental-headed glazing bar sashes, and to the right by a 20th-century glazed door. Above the bay window is a tripartite glazing bar sash, flanked to the left by two glazing bar sashes with segmental heads, and to the right by a single glazing bar sash and a small glazing bar casement. Above again is a single through eaves gabled dormer with a glazing bar sash, and to its right, a small glazing bar casement. The south front features two glazing bar sashes, with two more above them, and two cross-eaves gabled dormers, each with a single glazing bar sash. The rear, east-facing facade has a three-storey stair turret and a mix of 18th and 19th-century window openings.

A brick boundary wall with brick and stone coping runs along the property, incorporating approximately 10 metres of ornate cast-iron railing and a 19th-century pointed-headed boarded gate.
