Description
No. 3 Wymeswold Road is a cottage dating from the late 18th century. It is built of brick on a rubble plinth and stands two storeys high with a two-unit plan and a large central chimney stack. The facade features a simple plank doorway with a cambered head located to the left, along with two ground floor windows that are three-light horizontal sliding sashes with segmental heads. There is a brick string course above these windows. The upper windows are early insertions, also horizontal sliding sashes, but with smaller panes. The right side of the house has been converted into a garage from the rear, but the facade retains significant group value within the village street.
