Description

Holts Farmhouse is an early 18th-century brick farmhouse with an attached outbuilding to the rear. It sits on a low stone plinth and has a plain tiled roof. The building is arranged in an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high. A central doorway in the main range leads to a through passage behind a stack. The door is a six-panel design and is protected by a minimal, pedimented porch. Casement windows have a cambered head. A small dormer gable is visible on the left-hand side of the main facade, and a later gabled wing extends to the left. This wing has a large, blocked window on its inner face. The rear of the farmhouse features a window blocked with Measham Gobs, along with a mix of roofing materials and casement windows. Adjoining the rear of the house is a brick and stone barn with a pantiled roof and bullseye ventilation holes.
