Description

No. 3 Mitton Street is a house from the early 19th century, built of brick and topped with a slate roof. It is two stories high and features three bays. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a traceried fanlight above, set within an open pediment that has fluted capitals and decorative beading. On each floor, there are three-light casement windows flanking the door, with two-light windows positioned above the door, all featuring segmentally arched brick heads. The house has a dentilled eaves band. To the left, there is a hipped round wing that includes another six-panelled door in an open pedimented case, flanked by two casement windows of two and three lights. The house has chimney stacks on the gable ends and a coped end gable on the wing.
