Description
White Lion Court is a former public house, likely originally a dwelling, dating from around 1820. It is now in residential use. The building is rendered over brick with a Welsh slate roof. It is three storeys high and three bays wide, featuring a central doorway recessed within a portico with a flat entablature supported on Doric columns. Flanking the doorway are canted bay windows with deep fascia boards and sash windows with engraved glass. Upper windows are six-pane sashes with flat arched stuccoed heads and moulded keystones. A central first-floor window has a French door opening onto a wrought-iron balcony with acanthus leaf decoration. The building has gable end stacks. Later additions include rear wings and a parallel range to the rear.
