Description

No. 16, York Street is a house, later used as offices, dating approximately to 1780, with the facade likely altered slightly later. The building is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof. It is three storeys high and has three bays, featuring a central doorway with fluted shafts and a frieze below a heavy entablature. The windows are flush-framed sashes with flat arched gauged brick heads. A parapet runs along the eaves, and there are gable end stacks. A parallel rear range extends from the main building.
