Description
No. 1 Lichfield Street is a restaurant with a dwelling above, originally a shop and dwelling, dating from around 1800. The building is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. It is three stories high and consists of a single bay. The ground floor features an early 19th-century shop front with a central doorway flanked by bow windows, one of which has been renewed. This is topped by a single fascia with a modillion cornice, supported by moulded console brackets. Above, there are central sash windows with 16 and 12 panes, flat-arched heads with voussoirs and keystones, and stone sills. The eaves are finished with a stone-coped parapet. At the rear, there is a long wing that includes a side doorway and sash windows, along with a dentilled eaves band. A stack is located on the gable end.
