Description
The Wesleyan Chapel, built largely in the early 19th century, features lined-out stucco over brick and has a slate roof. It has an irregular plan, is two storeys high, and consists of five bays, with one bay recessed to the left and two bays beneath a pediment. The doorway is located towards the right of the elevation in a projecting porch supported by Doric columns with a flat entablature. The lower windows and an additional doorway in the left bay have stilted shouldered architraves. The central windows contain stained glass, while the upper round-arched windows include keystones. An oculus with stressed voussoirs is found at the apex of the pediment, along with a heavy entablature and string course. The interior features galleries and an alabaster and marble pulpit. A brick wing at the rear connects the chapel to the manse, which is a mid-19th century addition.
