Description

No. 20 High Street is a Grade II listed building located in Stourport on Severn, dating from around 1800. This structure features brick construction topped with a graded Welsh slate roof and consists of three storeys with three bays. The central doorway has been converted into a window and is flanked by two shop fronts. The doorway is adorned with cylindrical shafts and a triglyph frieze in the architrave. The shop fronts, dating from around 1900, include panelled pilasters and bulbous console brackets supporting the fascia, along with stained glass panels in the upper part of the windows. The upper windows are six-pane sashes with flat arches, stuccoed heads, voussoirs, and keystones. The building also has a dentilled eaves cornice and two axial stacks at the rear. Inside the right-hand unit, the ceiling beams are encased and panelled.
