Description

No. 42 Gateacre Brow is an early 19th-century house constructed of brick with stone dressing and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features four bays, with a one-bay return on the right side facing the street. The gable is positioned over the end three bays. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars. The entrance, located in the third bay, is round-headed and flanked by panelled pilasters, with an archivolt and a complete fanlight above a six-panel door. There is a window above the entrance that is adorned with an architrave, frieze, and cornice.
