Description

The Jubilee Memorial, built in 1887, is located on the north side of Gateacre Brow. It is constructed from red granite and features two steps leading up to a square plinth. This plinth is adorned with attached angle columns that have bronze bases and capitals. The sides of the plinth include panels, with the front panel displaying a bronze relief of a crown, a monogram, and the date. Above this, a cornice supports a bronze bust of Queen Victoria, with the inscription "Gleichen fecit 1887."
