Description

This is the base of a windmill dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings. The structure features a circular tapering tower that lacks a cap or machinery. On the north side, there is a blocked doorcase with a massive lintel. The tower has various square window openings that have flush dressings. At the top, there is a gritstone capping band.
