Description
Hicklam Mill is a disused tower windmill, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from limestone blocks and has a circular shape that tapers as it rises. The mill consists of four stages, including a basement. On the north-west side, there is a low segmental arch that allowed carts to access the basement. Above this arch, to the right, is a doorway leading to the ground-floor stage, while on the opposite side (east), there is a similar doorway leading to the second stage. The building features several small windows, including horizontal rectangular ones on the ground floor and square ones above. The top stage is made of rubble masonry, which may have been rebuilt. Hicklam Mill is notable for being the only remaining windmill in this parish.
