Description

This is a farmhouse with an attached outbuilding, dated 1840. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, stone coped gables with moulded kneelers, and brick ridge and gable end stacks. The stacks have chamfered brick panels and dentil cornices. The south elevation has three symmetrical bays for the house to the east and a three-bay barn to the west. The house has a brick dentil cornice, with a centrally advanced and gabled section. The ground floor of the house has a Tudor arched, chamfered opening leading into a porch. Flanking this are chamfered blind decorative openings. Within the porch is a raised and fielded panelled door. A date plaque is positioned above the porch, flanked by two similar decorative openings. Above the porch is a single light window with a chamfered surround, and further above, a small decorative opening, both set within the steeply pitched gable. The outer bays of the house have three-light windows to the ground floor, with chamfered surrounds and iron casements with diamond lights. Above, there are two-light windows, partly within gables, with chamfered surrounds and plain casements. To the left, there is a small arched window matching the decorative panels. The attached outbuilding to the left has a doorway on the ground floor, flanked by segmental arched windows, and a two-light window above, half within a gable.
