Description
Wayside is a house built in 1831-1832, originally serving as the rectory, with alterations made around the 1920s. The building features rough cast walls and a plain tile roof, with four rough cast stacks that rise from halfway down the roof's pitch, connected by a straight-topped wall that reaches the height of the roof's apex. It is two storeys tall. The east elevation has a central porch made of wood and glass, which includes double doors. Inside the porch, there is a door with a wooden surround and a rectangular overlight, along with a 19th-century six-panelled door. To the left of the porch, there is a long rectangular window with a glazing-bar sash, and another glazing-bar sash window is located to the right. Above, there are three similar windows.
