Description
Brailsford Mill is a building that dates back to 1693 and is currently used for storage. It is constructed of red brick and sandstone ashlar, topped with plain tile roofs and featuring one brick gable stack. The mill has two storeys and is designed in a T-plan. The south elevation is made of ashlar and includes a broad gabled bay on the left side. The rusticated basement has a doorway and a later window, with a stone band above it. There is a blind semi-circular arch on the first floor, which has a doorway beneath a stone lintel, and another stone band above, along with a circular window in the gable. The lower bay to the right continues the rusticated basement and has a stone band above, with a doorway on the ground floor and a square window above it. The rear walls are made of brick. The interior has not been inspected. A mill pond is located to the north of the building.
