Description

54 High Pavement is a town house that has been converted into offices. It was built in the mid-18th century and underwent alterations in the mid and late 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick with painted ashlar dressings and features an altered slate gambrel roof. Notable architectural details include a plinth, sill bands, a dentillated main cornice, and a rendered panel at the parapet.

The structure has four storeys and a three-window range. On the first and second floors, there are three linked Venetian windows, while above them are two Diocletian windows linked by a round-arched window. All of these windows have glazing bars. The ground floor features, to the left, three linked margin light sashes beneath a common cornice. To the right, there is a late 19th-century ashlar doorcase with a renewed 12-panel double door and overlight. Adjacent to this is a similar doorcase leading to a passage entrance.
