Description

No. 405 Milnthorpe Lane is a 17th-century house that has undergone some alterations. It is a long, low structure made of fairly evenly coursed tooled squared stone. The front windows feature cut voussoirs and the pattern of the openings has changed over time. The house has a stone flagged roof with a moderate pitch and projecting end chimneys. There are pent extensions to the north and west. Notably, there is an original three-light stone-mullioned window with a label moulding in the north-east wall. Inside, one room showcases an exposed heavy chamfered beam and original joists.
