Description

No. 35 High Street is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It is constructed of rubble stone with a roof that is partly covered in old tiles and partly in slate. A large brick chimney stack is located at the center of the building, where the materials change, featuring a dentil brick course and two diagonal shafts. The house has two storeys and the south elevation displays three bays of wooden casements, with a door positioned to the left of center, opposite the chimney stack. To the left, a long wing projects out, also two storeys high, made of rubble stone and topped with an old tile roof, featuring two brick chimneys. The gable end facing the road has one bay of three-light casements, while the west elevation shows the gable of the main block to the left and two bays of two-light casements in the wing.
