Description

The Forge and No. 3 form a pair of early 19th-century cottages situated on the east side of Olney Road, Lavendon. The cottages are constructed of rubble stone with slate roofs, and feature three brick chimneys. The left-hand cottage, The Forge, has two bays with sash windows, each with painted wooden lintels. A central 19th-century four-panel door is complemented by a plain fanlight, panelled pilasters, and a hood supported on moulded brackets. The right-hand cottage, No. 3, also has two bays, but with three-light casement windows and painted wooden lintels. A central plain door completes the facade.
