Description
The wall on the west side of the drive, located north-west of Woodthorpe Hall, along with the gate piers and gates at the main entrance, is likely from the 18th century. It features a coursed squared stone wall with a sloped coping that extends southward from the front drive entrance to a bend in the back drive. The main drive gates are low, double wrought iron with a spiky top and leafy lower standards, complemented by wavy alternate uprights. The low, square chamfered piers support the structure, while the ashlar side walls ramp up to the end piers. The drive is paved with granite blocks, and there is a York stone footpath.
