Description
The north boundary wall and gatepiers, located about 5 meters north of Yew Tree Farmhouse, are likely from the late 18th century. The wall is constructed from Cary stone, which is cut and squared, with Doulting stone dressings, and features wrought iron gates. The walls are approximately one meter high and have plain copings. There are two gateways: one at the east end for the drive and another directly opposite the front door of the farmhouse. The square plan piers have four gabletted tops. The gates to the drive have twist-spear tops on the rails, while a similar gate for the front path is made of cast iron. This structure has group value with Yew Tree Farmhouse and contributes significantly to the streetscape.
