Description
The boundary wall and gates to Yew Tree House, likely from the 18th century, are constructed from dressed squared limestone coursed blocks, with some 20th-century patching, topped with saddle-back stone coping. The gates consist of a pair of plank gates featuring an iron railing crown above a central sunk semi-circle. The wall extends the full width of the house and plot along Vicarage Street, reaching a height of about 2.5 meters. It has a left-hand end that is stopped, while the right side features a stepped and swept rise, culminating in a pyramid finial at the far right end. This wall is significant to the character of the street scene.
