Description

Glendale House is a house in a row, dating to the 18th century with modifications from the early 19th century and 20th-century windows. It is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with a concrete tile roof. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with two windows. These windows are 20th-century replacements, designed to imitate earlier styles with false glazing bars. A continuous drip mould sits above the windows on each floor, stopping at the outer ends of the paired windows. A 19th-century flat stone hood supported by consoles covers the central 20th-century front door. Two laylights are set into the roof slope. A small ashlar stack with a cap is visible on the left party wall. The interior remains uninspected. Original features listed previously included sash windows with bars, a stone slate roof, moulded stone frames (now plain), and a dormer window, which has since been removed.
