Description
Bush Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is constructed from local grey lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a hipped Welsh slate roof featuring stone slate base courses and stone chimney stacks. The building has an L-plan shape with chamfered corners and stands two storeys tall with a three-bay north elevation. The pointed arched windows are all 2-light, with the upper windows being very small. The lower windows have transoms across the springing and feature Y-tracery. In the second bay on the lower level, there are a pair of doors set in an almost semi-circular arch, which are plain and topped with a semi-circular fanlight. All arches are detailed with voussoirs. There is a single-storey extension on the east side, covered by a clay pantiled roof, which includes a 12-pane sash window. The south elevation has been rendered, and steel casement windows have been inserted. The interior has not been seen but appears to have changed very little.
