Description

The inner boundary wall at Pentrehobyn, which includes attached gate piers on the main drive, is a low stone wall approximately 1 meter high, featuring pitched stone copings. It extends south from the corner of the walled kitchen garden, located near the llettau warden's house, along a 19th-century boundary that may have marked the edge of a 17th-century court or garden. The wall then turns at a right angle to run west along the edge of the pleasure garden in front of the house, before turning back to meet the main drive. At this junction, there are stone gate piers with panel sides, large caps, and ball finials. The wall continues on the opposite side of the drive, running north and then east along the back of the house, where it now has flat coping. It steps back again at the north-east end by the large barn.
