Description

The wall and gate piers located to the north-east of Parsonage House date from the 18th or 19th century. This structure includes the remains of a wall that once enclosed the kitchen garden and served as a boundary wall for the main garden. The wall stands 2 meters high, reducing to 1 meter in front of the house. It is constructed of brick, featuring grey headers and red stretchers on the left side. The lower section of the wall has a stone flat coping and is interrupted by a gate flanked by square piers, which are topped with large, ball finials. On the right side, the wall is built in English bond with patches of sarsen stone.
