Description

This is an 18th-century house on the west side of High Street in Lambourn. It is constructed of roughcast with impressed decorative patterns on the string courses. The window surrounds feature wreaths under the first-floor sills and shaped panels between the windows; those on the ground floor indicate the presence of a central staircase. The roof is covered with old tiles. The building has four vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars and near-flush frames. A chimney is located on the left-hand side. The front door, situated in the second bay from the left, is panelled and has panelled and reeded pilasters with rounded caps. A thin cornice extends forward over the pilasters, surmounted by a pediment with a fan ornament in the tympanum.
