Description
This is a house located on the south side of Lambourn Market Place. It dates from the 18th century, with earlier fabric incorporated within. The main part of the house is two storeys and an attic, built of painted brick with a flat eaves detail, a bed mould, and an old tile roof. A small gabled dormer window is visible on the left side. Originally, there were six windows, though five are now blocked. The remaining window is a vertical sliding sash with glazing bars within a near-flush frame. A modern shop front occupies the ground floor. The left gable features a barge board and rendered section, with three vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars and near-flush frames on the first floor. A return section of the shop front and one ground floor window are visible alongside. To the right is a lower, two-storey wing constructed of sarsen stone with brick dressings, also featuring an old tile roof and a chimney. This wing has irregular windows and iron casements in timber frames. Double boarded doors provide access to the ground floor.
