Description

Early 19th-century boundary walls and gate piers to Number 7. The walls are constructed of rubble with dressed stone piers. A continuous wall, approximately 1.8 metres high, runs along Sutton Road, featuring alternating on-edge coping stones. This wall begins at the courtyard entrance to the Coach House and extends for approximately 35 metres to a square dressed pier topped with a flat, pyramidal capping. A new, curved section of wall with weathered coping leads to a taller pier with a concave pyramidal capping, finished with a reeded edge and a ball finial. A matching pier stands opposite, terminating a section of rubble wall opposite the front of the Day Nursery.
