SP 02 NW WINCHCOMBE GLOUCESTER STREET (south side) 3/101 Gate piers and boundary walls to No 100 - GV II

Gate piers and boundary walls. Early C19. Pair of limestone ashlar square piers on simple plinth and with moulded capitals over frieze, about 3m high, to left wall in squared and coursed limestone and plain weathered coping connecting to gable wall of No 100 (q.v.), to right the same, but wall is higher than pier, wall returns to front wall of adjacent property, about 1.7m depth. Piers retain stone responds for original gates, but now pair C20 wooden gates (not listed) are fitted.
