Description

Chapel Cottage is a house in a row, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a plinth and features a concrete tile roof. There is a brick gable stack on a stone base to the right. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-windowed facade. Above the first floor, there is a gabled dormer that contains a small two-light casement window. The first floor has 19th-century two-light casements with horizontal bars, while the ground floor features a 19th-century canted oriel window with glazing bars and a wide four-panel door to the left. The name "Chapel Cottage" is derived from a structure behind the premises that is reputed to have been a chapel.
