Description
Temple Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, located on the south side of Gloucester Street in Winchcombe. It is constructed of good squared and coursed limestone with a plinth and has a concrete tile roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and features three windows. There is a central gabled dormer that contains a small 19th-century two-light casement window. The original 12-pane sash windows with glazing bars are set in plat-band surrounds, which have keystones and deep cills on both the ground and first floors. The entrance features a central 20th-century plank door set in a reveal, also with a plat-band and keystone, and is accessed by three steps leading up to the plinth height. This property appears to have been a slightly more grand rebuilding compared to the simpler adjacent vernacular buildings.
