Description

Ridge House is a house located on Mere Castle Street, likely dating from the late 18th century, with changes made to its windows in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from coursed and squared limestone, with a roof made of plain tiles that varies in thickness from thick to thin. It has two storeys and features two windows, which are 4-pane sash windows set into the forward wall. The central entrance has a 3 over 3-panel diamond raised door from the 19th century, topped by a plain transom light. All openings are adorned with flush voussoirs that extend beyond them. There is also a second plank door on the far right, which likely belongs to the adjoining property, Tithings. Ridge House is included in the listing for its group value with nearby buildings.
